Stainless steel computers
Stainless steel computer of the EXPERT BS series
The EXPERT BS stainless steel computer series differs fundamentally in its interface connection from the EXPERT SBC and EXPERT SE series, because the cables are routed on the underside of the device. The BS stainless steel computer series is the only series in the food sector that offers protection for the standard interfaces with additional cables - this is done in the form of BINDER connectors.
These plug connections are additionally protected by an all-round impact protection and have protection class IP67 when unused interfaces are closed. All other data on the device series correspond to the data on the stainless steel computer series EXPERT SE.
The background to this special interface technology in stainless steel computers of the BS series lies in the history of the SEMA company. With this series, we offer users with this type of cabling the ability to continue using their infrastructure without having to do without the latest stainless steel computer technology. The PIN assignment of the BINDER plugs on our stainless steel computer is therefore designed in such a way that it corresponds to the SEMA devices. In conclusion, this means that you can replace your existing computer systems with a new and up-to-date stainless steel computer generation without having to tackle the tricky cabling problem.

Interfaces on the base unit
This board offers the adaptation of standard PC interfaces to BINDER connectors:
- 1 x keyboard / scanner
- 1 x combined keyboard and mouse port
- 1 x USB
- 1 x LAN 10/100 Mbit optional 1 Gbit
- 1 x Parallel (LPT1)
- 1 x serial
Interface extension V.24 / USB extension
The stainless steel computer offers three expansion slots for two additional interfaces each. The selected circuit board leads the interfaces on the motherboard to the outside via BINDER connectors.
The serial interface level is either RS232, RS422, RS485 or TTY level.
On the serial interface, a power supply can be switched via a jumper (+5V or +12V). It is secured with a self-resetting fuse (0.8A).
Additional USB interfaces can be added upon request.

Fastening and all-round connector protection
The consistency of the stainless steel computers runs through all areas. All connectors on the underside of the stainless steel computer are protected by a stainless steel "collar" all around. Mechanical damage is excluded. Nevertheless, accessibility to the plug connectors is not a problem.
The accessory components must also be adapted to the environmental conditions of the respective place of use. The brackets for the stainless steel computers in their different lengths (pedestal or wall bracket) are also made entirely of stainless steel. The same applies to the star handles to adjust the viewing angle individually at any time.
