EXPERT 5500 MT – information and exchange
The EXPERT 5500 MT is an employee information system and team workstation with protection class. Designed for the manufacturing and hygiene-sensitive production environment.
The EXPERT 1850MT and 2150MT data collection devices shown in the picture (left) are intended to illustrate the size ratio to the EXPERT 5500 MT.
With the EXPERT 5500 MT, we want to offer the HW platform for many MES systems that display processed information for employees in manufacturing and production and also provide a team workstation for meetings in hygiene-sensitive applications.
EXPERT 5500 MT – a new dimension in protection class
Thanks to the stainless steel housing with touch screen unit and the IP69 degree of protection achieved on the front, the EXPERT 5500 MT can do more than just visualise.
The device is a group workstation or meeting point with a protection class.
It has long been the norm for meetings to be held in production areas. With the EXPERT 5500 MT, this can now also be done directly on the device in a food environment or in a clean room.
EXPERT 5500 MT – the special features
The EXPERT 5500 MT focusses on the following points:
- Protection class [EN60529] IP69 on the front and connection side depending on the interface protection
- 55’ LCD with 4k resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels)
- Capacitive MultiTouch for direct input
The LCD is selected according to the MTBF value, so we guarantee a high number of operating hours for the device even in the operating temperature range of 0°C – 50°C, which avoids operation in borderline situations (derating).
Mounting the EXPERT 5500 MT with VESA 400
The EXPERT 5500 MT has the following dimensions: width 1355 x height 825 x depth 100 mm. The weight is 72kg. For this reason, mounting must be carefully considered. There is a classic mounting stand for heavy monitors. However, direct wall mounting is better. The EXPERT offers VESA 400 mounting points for this. Alternatively, it can be suspended from the ceiling. Appropriate eyelets can be mounted on the device.
